ApTI, the Association for Technology and Internet, produced a series of short animated videos on privacy as part of a larger awareness campaign in Romania on data protection.

All materials are under an open licence and we launch this open invitation for everyone interested to translate the video series and adapt it to their local context.

Thanks to the Creative Commons Awesome fund we can allocate limited support for different teams to translate and adapt the content in local languages.

While the funding opportunity is limited, we hope this will not impact the number of overall translations. Everybody’s invited to re-use, re-mix, revise!

All raw files will be available for everyone interested and we are happy to work with the teams of translators all throughout the translation process.

First roll out

The first re-use of the privacy video series was made by European Digital Rights (EDRi), an association of civil and human rights organisations from across Europe which defends rights and freedoms in the digital environment. They are currently promoting the privacy videos within their series of blogposts dedicated to privacy, security and freedoms.
